Β
Create a way of working and living that feels like your own.
- Six months
- Individual coaching for people working in high-performance sport who want greater clarity, self-trust and freedom in how they work and live.
Β
You don't need to have it figured out.
People come to coaching for different reasons.
You might be questioning what's next.
You might still love what you do, but recognise that the way you're working isn't sustainable.
You might be facing an important opportunity or decision and finding it difficult to know what you actually want.
Perhaps work is taking too much of your energy, you're struggling to switch off, or you've lost some of the enjoyment you once had.
Or everything might look fine on paper, but something doesn't quite feel right.
You don't need to be burnt out.
You don't need to be leaving sport.
And you don't need to know exactly what needs to change.
Finding that out can be part of the work.
Β
Maybe you've found yourself thinking...
βI don't know what I want next.β
βI can't keep working like this.β
βI've lost some of my enjoyment.β
βI know something needs to change.β
βI'm worried about making the wrong decision.β
βOn paper it makes sense, but something doesn't feel right.β
βWork is taking too much of me.β
βI want more freedom without throwing away everything I've built.β
βI want to feel like myself again.β
Ian Braid
"There are people you meet in life and there are people you meet in life for a reason. Richard is the latter.Β Richard is unique especially in sport.Β As a result of our work together I now have a better understanding of who I am having literally done some soul searching. Align this with a better understanding of my purpose and my values and the end result is Ian Braid 2024 . I am the best version of me and know I will continue to grow. Thank you my friend."
Adam Sullivan
"Richard has helped me achieve greater clarity about my broader purpose, values, and boundaries, most of which extend beyond my professional life. He has also provided me with useful frameworks and exercises for challenging my assumptions and thoughts. I've spent a lot of time and money in the past on CPD, but this is one of the best investments I've made in myself, the benefits of which will also impact those closest to me."
What coaching withΒ me actually is
A space to see more clearly.
My role isn't to tell you whether you should stay, leave, take the job, turn it down or completely change direction.
It's to create the space for you to understand what's actually happening.
Together, we'll explore the patterns influencing how you think, feel and act; the expectations and fears that can make it difficult to hear yourself; what matters to you now; and what you may already know but keep overriding.
From there, we can begin exploring what you actually want β and how you might create it.
Sometimes that leads to significant external change.
Sometimes the job stays exactly the same and your relationship with it changes.
There isn't a predetermined answer.
The ALIGN Method
My coaching is underpinned by the ALIGN Method β a process designed to help you move from unconscious reaction to conscious relationship.
A β Awaken
Develop awareness of your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and unconscious patterns. Begin to see what's actually happening, rather than simply being caught within it.
L β Land
Regulate your nervous system and reconnect with your body. Create enough presence and safety to step out of the noise, slow down and listen.
I β Integrate
Reconnect with your values, identity, inner wisdom and purpose. Explore what is actually true for you, rather than continuing to chase who you think you should be.
G β Grow
Bring that awareness into your relationships, work, leadership and everyday choices. Begin responding more consciously instead of reacting automatically.
N β Navigate
Put what you're learning into practice. Navigate decisions, uncertainty and the challenges of work and life with greater clarity, resilience and intention.
AWAKEN β LAND β INTEGRATE β GROW β NAVIGATE
This isn't a rigid five-step programme.
It's an ongoing practice of becoming more aware of yourself, developing greater trust in what you recognise, and making choices that increasingly reflect how you actually want to work and live.
